How can I keep the tongues of a slot card free of solder resist?
Firstly, you can make the tongues as elongated solder pads without solder resist. You can also run traces to the edge of the board. Draw a filled rectangle over the area or over each tongue individually into the respective solder resist plane 4 or 18. The solder resist planes are "masks" and this means that everything that is shown there in green will be free of green solder resist afterwards:

Proceed in the same way on the bottom side if the slot plug contacts are on both sides.
