How can I "smarten up" the tracks?
First of all: Use a reasonable grid. Not too big and not too small. Approx. 0.635 mm for THT components and e.g. 0.1 mm for SMD components. A smaller grid mostly is not useful. Then it is better to switch it off the grid for a moment with [F6] if necessary.
If a signal segment is not completely straight, click on it to create 3 small black boxes. Click with M2 on the outer box whose bend shall remain. A context menu appears from where you select "Segment in 45° grid". The opposite bend shifts accordingly:
