How can I import layouts from a different CAD system?
TARGET has several options to import layouts from other programs:
- Projects from Eagle can be opened directly in TARGET together with the circuit diagram. And they can even be saved in Eagle format.
- TARGET can also import projects in the old Protel 98/99/SE format. Although the format is a bit dated, it can still be saved in newer products.
- If you have Gerber or XGerber data of the board, you can also import these.
- If you have or can make a dimensionally accurate photo of the old board, then you can try reverse engineering.
