How can I take all old settings with me during an installation?
I want to install my TARGET on another computer and take all the old settings with me. How do I proceed?

If you want to install a new version or edition on the same computer, TARGET detects the
old installation at the first start and asks by itself if it should overtake the old settings. On another computer it is more difficult:

Of interest are the settings (Target.ini) and the user-drawn components in the database. In addition, project templates and saved layer sets could be interesting.

Here the directory "C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}
\" is used now. You or your admin might have changed it, so please check if necessary. For example, the directory is called "C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV20\discover\". The AppData directory is usually hidden by Windows, so you must first make it visible:

So first copy the ini file:

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}\Target.ini

Then the database:

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}\target3001.db

The following files are only important if you have created them yourself.

That is, any projects that are saved as templates:

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}\*.T3001

And configuration files, if available:

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}\*.lcf
C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}\*.knp
C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{number}\{edition}\*.col
