How can I update TARGET on an offline computer?
We do not want to go online with our developer PCs. How can we make an update there?

You can reinstall TARGET on any computer, perform a free online update there, so you have the latest version. Then copy this file to the offline computer
e.g. by a USB stick:

C:\Program Files (x86)\ibf\TarV{xx}\{edition}\TarV{xx}.exe

{xx} is the main version
number, {edition} is your edition level. Other files may have been refreshed in this directory as well. You will probably need admin privileges to write there.

You can also copy the following directory:

C:\User
s\{user_name}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{xx}\{edition}\Pck_gen.

However, Windows hides the "AppData" directory from the normal user. Then make the hidden files visible first.

You should not overwrite this file:

C:\Users\{user_name}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{xx}\{edition}\Target.ini.

Namely, it contains your settings that are stored on the workstation.

To update the component database too: First copy the database with your user parts from the offline computer to the online computer, then perform an update there in the components browser and copy the file back to the offline computer. Always remember to make a backup and check that your own user parts are not lost!

This is normally the location of the SQLite component database:

C:\User
s\{user_name}\AppData\Roaming\ibf\TarV{xx}\{edition}\Database\target3001.db
