How can I get the BOM into the schematic or layout?
At the moment there is no possibility to display the parts list in the schematic or in the board directly. There are two indirect possibilities, but they are "offline". The parts list does not change automatically when the circuit is changed.
One can get the parts list in EXCEL as text into the clipboard and then insert it as multi line text. Disadvantage here is that the formatting of the columns is lost.
The second possibility is to fetch the parts list as a picture, e.g. from a screenshot into the circuit. The disadvantage here is that the texts may be pixelated if the resolution is too low and that the texts can no longer be searched for, e.g. in a later generated PDF of the circuit.
