How can I mount a diode upright standing (vertical)
Use the desired diode in the shematic view. In the layout later, press the [Ins] key to import the package. Now place a check mark in "Use different package":

The package browser opens and you enter "standing" or "stehend". Then select e.g. DO35_STANDING_BOTTOM or DO35_STEHEND_K_UNTEN. The circle in the silk screen shows where the cathode (Kathode K) with its black ring has to be connected. In the 3D view you see the preview of the package. Check carefully that the anode and cathode match the connections in the circuit diagram!
